Cartridge Struts are on many older BMW  Citroen Toyota Volvo and Volkswagen.  We have Airstruts for all of them.  Remove the inner cartridge  then cut off the housing aprox 1" above the casting housing  then slip in the new 45mm Airstrut  and lightly weld
