"1973 Ford F-350 Air Bag Install - Hot Rod Hauler-Blowing Up the Bags"

Been awhile since I have updated.  The suspension is doing fantastic! The last
truck weight was 11,142 lbs. I still find that 75 in the front and 40-45 in the
rear offers the best ride quality. I recently pulled our 6700# enclosed trailer
about 1400 miles, and that is where the rear kit came to life. With 70-80# the
rear end floats. The ride gets better with the additional weight!  The only concern
I have is the rear shocks are not up to the task of controlling the compression/
rebound of the truck as the bags consume the bumps in the road. With the factory
shocks overloaded and a tongue heavy trailer the factory shocks are doing the best
they can. What shocks do you recommend? I have used Gabriel gas shocks in the past
with good results, but that was on a leaf sprung vehicle. The air compressor is performing well within expectations. I am following this email with one to Tom to order another compressor, tank and fitting kit for another one of our trucks.

I just watched your video online and i saw you mentioned someone who complained
about your product. It got me thinking that I know the guy, and I did( do). I just
swapped hissuspension over from the airbags to full coilovers. Now about the
installation of your kit...He did not install the kit himself a company that
ordered it installed it on his car and since they have given him problems. when I inspected the struts i noticed that they didn't have the upper bearings. I thought the kit didn't come with them cause the shop didn't install them. I put the factory bearings inplace with the "hat" to assist the strut to turn without causing damage. since he has just stopped driving the car until i did the swap. I have his airbagit.com set-up now and I've learned alot and have
done alot of research on your kits (I do my own installations cause most shops
do piss poor work). I need those bearings that are for the front struts. How
much would it cost to get those and how fast can i get them. I can make this
kit work even after all these problems. Btw I am putting them on my 1994 Toyota
Camry wagon. Thank you for your time,

I have a 2005 f350 that has a complete kelderman air ride suspension it has a four link setup in the back the controls that came with the kit suck and the the truck is never sits level longer then a day I always have to adjust the rod-sensors I'm looking to upgrade what would you suggest?  The problem with the Kelderman is that the bags sit way behind the axle instead of on top of the axle.  Tom will get with you on the controls.  For sure you need check valves before the bags to keep air from bleeding back to the tank, and our air engine

Over the years I have seen alot of bad stuff about your products. And I must admit I have not purchased any myself because of this. On Wednesday of this week a guy I meet came over with a truck with all of your products on it. He has the chevy full back kit, with upper, lower control arms and spindle in front. I must say I was impressed. Everything looked quality and works perfectly. He was having problems with the front in not laying out due to the tires touching the inner fenders in firewall and the upper bag cups being to tall. So I took everything apart in shortened cups for the frame to lay. I can't believe after all the bad things I heard that this stuff is that nice. So I wanted to apologize to you guys for not purchasing your product in the past. I am currently building a 1990 isuzu pickup for my 13 year old daughter. Her truck will have a 6-71 supercharger on a 350 chevy motor, we have already started the chassis and it's narrowed 4 her ford 9 inch rear end. And after seeing your products, you can bet they will be a part of this build.

I ordered a set of bags for my nissan on Sunday the 22nd and they arrived today. I was so impressed with the amount of time and the emails i received letting me know that my order was filled and shipped. I ordered a part from another company that I will leave unnamed and it took over a week to get the part as well as not knowing that my order had been shipped. The only email I had received from them was saying that my order was received. I appreciate the great service and will recommend your company to anyone that asks where I get my parts. Being in the military means I have lots of friends and I will definitely recommend your company to them as well. Any more parts i order will be through your company. Again I thank you very much for your great customer service and fast shipping.

 Joe,
Thanks again for the top notch service and timely return of my truck! Ryan, Chad and Benji (SP) worked very hard to provide a top notch install in an amazingly short amount of time. Your teams hard work and late nights allowed me to travel to, and complete my next job on time. I have had the opportunity to put about 3300 miles on the suspension system and have had no problems.  The truck was recently weighed at 9580 LBS. As it gets heavier and I begin to tow with it I will provide feedback accordingly.  I find that 70 LBS in the front and 45 LBS in the rear provide the optimum ride.  The difference in ride quality is substantial, it is very quiet and ride quality is much better.
I recently installed the voltair compressor, air engine, and gauge system to allow for on the fly adjustment. The Voltair is fantastic! We typicaly run a 5.5 HP Honda with a 12.3 CFM 3 cylinder Curtis air end on our service vehicles. I will not purchase another Honda. The Voltair fills the bags fast, runs air tools better, has a much smaller footprint, and less maintenance. With the 5 gallon tank, the wait time is less than 30 seconds.   I have attached some pictures for your use. Since it was early Saturday morning when the team finished and no “after” pictures were taken.   Again, Thanks for the great service!       - Lee Wilson

Subject: Impressive CUSTOMER SERVICE!

joe,

first off i just want to say how impressed i am by the customer service i have received from your company when it comes to questions ive had in the past. great service and amazing response time. also i love the selection of parts offered by your company. i do have a random question for you tho. how would one possibly get sponsored by your company?? im looking at getting the front and rear sleeve kit you have available for my stratus. they are reasonably priced and honestly i would love to get them and also do some advertising for airbagit.com and chassis tech up here in my home state of north dakota. the main reason i want to do some advertising on my car for your company up here is because i know quite a few people up here that are interested in air ride suspension kits for there vehicles and i wanna be able to tell them where i got the suspension parts in my car from your company. i do go to as many shows as i possibly can with my car since it is a show car and that is where i run into alot of people who ask me about air ride suspension since i do have it in my car but im looking to upgrade the kit and like i said im interested in doing business with you. i thank you for taking the time out of a busy day to read this email and hopefully respond to me.

Hello, my name is Dustin Blanchette and i wanted to write you and let you know how much i am pleased with my purchases. I recently finished my 2000 chevy s10 extended cab and wanted to thank airbagit.com and all the employee's at airbagit.com. I purchased my air management system, lambo door kit, c-notch, and air  kit from you guys. I did the custom install myself and am very pleased with the quality of product along with the excellent customer service and support. I have been attending show's this year and plan to continue. I have had question's on who i trust for my aftermarket air kit needs and easily explained that airbagit is the best, they have great product's and the best employee's in the buisness.  I was just wondering if it would be possible to give credit to the people who helped me finish a great truck and make it very enjoyable!  I would love to be able to place you're logo on my truck somewhere to show who also deserve's the credit for a great product. I plan to shop with airbagit.com as my sole provider for my air  needs. I appreciate all that has been done for me and will surely pass the word through my club and to all other's that i can.  I have attatched some photos of my finished truck.

C-Notch review and install
well it was time in my build to add a notch to my Colorado, so I decided to start doing some research into which kit would be best for me. I looked around at quite a few of the universal kit but I ultimately decided on the Colorado/Canyon specific one build specifically for our trucks made by Airbagit. frame notch c sections

So I called up Tom over there and got it ordered. It was made for me since they don't hold them in stock, and was delivered to the house about a week later. When I opened the box it only had the outside and bottom, it didn't include the inner section. I emailed them directly and let them know of the shortage. My email was replied to very quickly by Joe Morrow personally. He apologized for the packaging mistake and had them shipped out that day. I work in shipping as well and understand that mistakes happen. I would have been fired years ago for all the mistakes I've made. Overall my experience with Airbagit.com was very good, the product is excellent and the customer service is very good in my opinion.

I am very happy with the end result. I really feel that I bought the best kit and had the best shop install it for me

Hello Joe, I own a small machine shop in Saskatchewan, Canada. I am trying to get into doing more custom trucks and hot rods rather than general machining. Air suspension is in its infancy around my area and I am trying to raise the awareness around here. I would like to be able to offer your products to my customers. I am well aware of the internet feud and constant bickering from people on some of the internet forums. I have used your products before, from lowering springs and blocks for my 92 dakota. to your 2500 air springs on my mazda B2200. I have yet to have a problem. I have a set of your 2600 bags right now. They are a few years old but have not been used for anything other than mock-up. They were going to be goig on my s10 project but im thinking that I might go for your denominator II bags instead. I will be running some of your 2" drop spindles as well. I am emailing today as I was on your site and going to apply to be a dealer and was a little confused. My business has a street address for the manufacturing shop but no postal code. The actual mailing/billing address is a Post Office box. Im not sure which one you need. Also, im not sure if it is different in the USA, but im not sure exactly what you need for my resale number. I have a business licence, GST tax number, and a PST tax number. Do you need one or all of these. I can fax a copy of my buiness licence if need be. If you have any questions or need me to clarify anything, please let me know. Thanks a lot and I hope to hear from you soon.

I built my first full size back in 95, used spindles from AIM (It was a new Ram, not a lot of options, So I'm not a noobie to air kits, or dealing with the multitudes of companies and manufacturers that have came and went over the years.  Over the past few years, a wife and 2 kids later building a Lincoln, and my my latest 69 C10,  I had an experience with AIM yesterday I felt the need to share here.

Thursday 11:01 AM CST - PANIC - Truck is on the lift, waiting on me to decide on switches/guages for the project, been debating between 2-3 air management controllers.

 Thursday 11:30 - Lunch

Thursday 12:30 - Check summit racing to see what they have in stock, because I need it for the weekend (Who else can get it tome overnight? Actually have it in stock? Ship when they say they do?)  -- Summit drops ships, Fail.

Thursday 1:00PM - Figure what the hell, I'll try AirBagit.com, they have been around for 10 years that I know of, maybe they have their stuff together. - Placed order for one of their Air Managment units with senders, pay for next day air, ~550 bucks.

Thursday 1:03PM - Receive email AND a phone call from their order people that there is a problem (GASP) I want to ship it to the office, but my billing address is at home address. (Now this is where I figured the order would stall) They included a shipping authorization form and instructions in the email, to authorize shipment to office. (I'm doubtful of my chances)

Thursday 1:15PM Printed, faxed back, cross fingers.

Thursday 1:34PM Received Email confirmation of order and invoice in email (Hope?)

Friday 10:00AM - Leave my desk to grab a drink, come back, and package is sitting on my desk.

Opened, everything is there, new, nicely packaged.

In a world where everyone is really quick to start an email thread to share a bad experience in a heartbeat, I thought I'd take a moment to say thanks and show my appreciation, less than 24 hours from the time I thought about ordering to holding it in my hands, I can't ask for anything more.

My question is, does the air shocks take place of the coil springs or not. I am looking for the cheapest route to lower it down since money is scarce now due to my injury.

Joe, the problem I'm having is I added air to my Air Lift brand load leveler 5000 bags (#57215) at a gas station & guess what, it had water in the system.  Now my system has water in it. I have filled the bags with clean air and let the air out many times. Guess I have to remove the bags & drain them letting them dry out.  I now know when I install my  load controller II system I should add oil/water traps inline.  I feel I will need to add 3 of them in the places marked on the attached drawing.  Any help would be great as I'm out of work right now.

Subject: '72 c10 lowering kit

 Hi Joe,

I'm looking at all your ads in street trucks and I have to say that you do a great job at explaining how all the air kit systems work and just laying it out there for people.  I know some guys who have been ripped off before when buying kits and it's good to see a company that helps teach the new guys on the scene.  I am one of those new guys to the street truck dept. and this is my first time dropping a truck.  I worked on old rods but airbags are all new to me

Would you be able to give me a price on a complete kit for my 72 c10?  C notch in the rear with bags and spindles in the front with tanks, compressors, valves, etc.  I'm looking at your streetscraper kit in street trucks magazine and it looks pretty straightforward to install.

Thanks for your time,  Darren

From:Bagd_Civic93     12/9/2009 2:47:59 PM Message: Hey joe just want you to know I am not in anyway doubting that yours do compress to 2.9" in fact it is my plan to get a few when I go back to work to use on the civic.

Also I wouldn't give in as easy to prove a point that those numb skulls still won't get. It is very evident to me that A)They have no clue what they are talking about or B)they are just trying to beat you for the hell of it and still have no intentions of purchasing from you.

Anyway as long as you keep supplying us with good products and great prices the business you have now will not go away.

 JOE!

I would like to thank AIRBAGIT for their outstanding customer service. I purchased the PLUG N Play system that installed on my 41 Lincoln. Since this was my first air suspension project I was lost, the staff at AIR BAGIT made the process simple and easy.

If you have a problem Joe is right there to help in any way that he can. In my case he went up and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was right.

I'll sure use AIRBAGIT again on my next two projects.

Sincerely

Subject: Yuri Pham

Hey Joe,  My name is Sean McGuirt, I hope you don't remember me but I had a lot of problems with your products about 6 months ago now. My previous problems are not the reason for this e-mail. I called airbagit about every 2-5 days a week for quite a while and Yuri was with me the whole time. I just called today, 6 months later, and Yuri remembered what compressor I had lol. I just wanted to let you know that Yuri is an amazing salesman. Everytime I called he helped me 100% of the time and to the fullest. He is very knowledgeable on every product you guys sell and walked me thru step by step every problem I had and I appreciate it. Hope you get these often because you have a hell of a team up front. Just thought his superior should know.

Thank You

Very well said Joe.

I dont understand the keyboard commandos.... if you dont like Joe or Joe's product dont buy it.  Vote with your dollar and stop acting like children.  Do you run to Target and yell at them for selling shit that Walmart does because you like Walmart better..... ugh.  Doubt it, in fact you actually enjoy a better price at Walmart because of Target, and you vote with your dollar by spending it at the one you like best.

All of you, even the keyboard commandos enjoy the fruits of competition every single day.  Competition is GOOD for the consumer.

Whats up joe I would like to Thank u for standing by your product. And i have used Airbag its stuff in the past and have no complaints.I see u take alot of crap from so many people and still keep testing and testing products for minitruckers and anyone who thinks your product will fail. Im not saying you have or anyone else has the BEST product but you stand by the product u sell and that means something. How many other places never answer e-mails or never have a answer Alot Just my 2 cent Thanks

Daniel

I noticed the towing kit in the latest issue of Truckin Mag. I wanted to know all the information needed regarding my truck, prior to my order. Knowing this information will speed my ordering process, and make sure I have the optimal kit. I was greatly pleased when i found out you sell htese kits. I have had a air bag kit installed on my toyota show truck for 5 years, and never had a problem. the toy kit was installed 100% by me (first time to ever install an air bag kit), and this alone tells the testament of how great you products are.

My truck is a 1997 Chevy 1500 Z71 4x4.

Thanks you for you help

Guys

Subject: F250- Lovin it!

I've had a chance to get out and put ~ 100 miles on the truck and I am loving it!  I have the rear bags set at 21-22 lbs, and the fronts at 53 lbs.  It rides perfectly level at this height and the ride is incredible.  I need to find a same year truck and setup as mine around here to measure against, mine at these air settings may sit a touch lower than stock but I'm not for sure on that.  Here are some immediate things I noticed:

- Ride obviously substantially better

- Truck is more responsive in turns

- Here's one I wouldn't have thought of:  the truck is quieter!  Less road noise.  The truck was tight before (no squeaks or rattles) but there is definitely less road noise now.  I guess if you think about it, metal on metal (spring on frame) wouldn't leave anything in there to dampen road vibrations.  The Air bags must act as a sound dampener?  By how much of a difference I'm not too sure, I'll need to compare against same truck w/ stock suspension, but I'm sure it's quieter.

- No lunging under heavy braking.  I had to brake pretty hard and fast on the highway today.  I noticed the nose didn't drop like it would with the stock springs on there-very cool!

All in all very happy with it!  Do you have an FTP folder upload the video too?  I have 1.3gb (compressed) of video during the build.  Also, can I somehow get the video you guys took of the completed build?

Thanks again guys!
